Places Costa Brava Spain - Tossa de Mar

The Costa Brava in Catalonia, a region of northern Spain was one of the first areas in Spain has always been well known among foreigners and during 1950 and 1960 with more leisure time, low cost flights and better communication. As a result of this new interest in the region has started a program of re-development, though a better service for tourists was a bit 'spoiled the historic charm of the place of tourism is now one ofPillars of the region.

The castle and old town of Tossa de Mar has been on a rocky promontory (Mont Guardi) during the 12th century, built by the abbot of Ripoll, and there are still many old and charming city on the left. The narrow, winding streetsthe fashion of the time are paved and lined with picturesque stone houses decorated with beautiful flower boxes. Along the way are some excellent fish restaurants, where a delicious seafood on the Costa Brava, where the region is trying to find fame.

Most visitors today has come to town because of the fine climate, beautiful beaches and excellent watersports. Tossa de Mar has 3 beaches and 2 of them were flag "excellent" Blue "Condition for the safety and cleanliness. The town of Tossa de Mar also has a lively nightlife, but the younger visitors who head for something more lively Lloret de Mar, about 13 km along the coast.
